The name gShirankaih is named by the president of Kyoto Imperial University, Dr. Kinoshita In Japanese language gkaih means the organization and the word Shiran originally came from the ancient Chinese literature of Confucian (551 BCE | 479 BCE) who was said to be one of the greatest philosopher and his teaching made the base for Legalism, Taoism and Confucianism. gShiranh is mentioned in his gKoshi-Kegoh (EŽq‰ÆŒê) as rare and valuable herbal medicine that has significant effect for health and cure. The alumni organization is named as gShirankaih so that all the doctors in this organization would cure and contribute to peoplefs health as gShiranh herb.
